To this end, the union will continually enhance its appeal, cohesion, and combat effectiveness; proactively adapt to the evolving economic and labor relations as well as the changing needs of employees under the new circumstances; constantly broaden its scope of work; refine its working mechanisms; innovate its methods; and improve the systems for deliberation and decision-making within the leadership team. The union will strive to set an exemplary standard of hard work and integrity, serve as an active defender of employees’ lawful rights and interests, and work together to build the trade union into a “home for employees” that earns the trust of the leadership, the satisfaction of the workforce, and the confidence of the general public.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Huang Jun, General Manager of the Group, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all union members who have supported and shown concern for the Group’s trade union work over the past several years. He congratulated everyone on the successful holding of the meeting and on the election of the new term of the trade union committee, and put forward three key requirements: First, firmly uphold the mission of our work and maintain close ties with and provide dedicated services to all cadres and employees. The new trade union committee must strengthen its sense of responsibility and commitment, keep firmly in mind the demands and expectations of workers, effectively safeguard and promote their legitimate rights and interests, wholeheartedly deliver practical benefits and good deeds for employees, and strive to open up a new chapter in the Group’s trade union work. Second, align our efforts with the central tasks at hand and lend strong support to the Group’s innovative development. The Group’s trade union must elevate its political stance, approach, plan, implement, and carry out trade union work from the perspective of the overall economic development of the Group, vigorously support the Group’s industrial development and economic growth, and contribute to the Group’s structural adjustment and transformation. Third, strengthen internal capacity-building and foster a harmonious and stable environment for development. The trade union must continuously adapt to new development requirements and further enhance its service awareness and capabilities; it should actively educate and guide all employees to properly balance individual interests with collective interests, and short-term interests with long-term interests, so that they understand, support, and participate in the Group’s various reform initiatives, thereby helping to create a positive working environment and order. The trade union must also promptly listen to and understand the voices and concerns of employees, show genuine care for their work and daily lives, proactively address their difficulties and problems, and especially step up visits and assistance to employees facing hardship, thus cultivating a caring and service-oriented cultural environment that values and supports employees. In addition, drawing on its own unique characteristics, the trade union should organize a variety of cultural and sports activities, establish “Employee Reading Rooms,” and adopt other measures to enhance corporate cohesion and vitality, continuously improve employees’ political literacy and overall competence, and lead all cadres and employees to play an even greater role in the broader context of the Group’s development.
